Do you wonder what it will be like for you in college?

Do your parents take care of most things at home for you?

Do you worry how you’ll get by on your own, once you’re away at school

(where your parents can’t do everything for you)?

How to ease your anxiety:

  • Let’s start now, by taking one step at a time.

  • First I listen to your concerns.

  • Then we begin to add, very gradually, tasks you’re comfortable with - ones you’ll have to do for yourself when you do go off to college. (This way, you’ll be in the habit of doing them yourself and it won’t be more to get used to when you leave.)

  • You’ll notice you’ll begin to feel you have more control over your life, your schoolwork, your time management, your medical/mental health management… and your anxiety over going to college.

  • You’ll gain confidence.

THAT is the key to thriving in college.
